B -- LABORATROY ANALYSES FOR THE NATIONAL HEALTH AND NUTRITION EXAMINATION SURVEY (NHANES IV) SOL 200-97-7048 POC Elisa Hillman, 301/436-7007, Contracting Officer, Ronald L. Atherholt Single or multiple awards may result from this solicitation with Fixed Price contracts anticipated. The period of performance will be five years with a possible three year extension. The contractor(s) shall perform laboratory analyses for one or more of the following: C-reactive protein, Standard biochemistry profile, Helicobacter pylori, Prostate specific antigen, Glycohemoglobin, Glucose (plasma), Insulin, urinary Albumin/Creatinine, Serum follicle stimulating hormone/Serum luteinizing hormore (FSH/LH), Antinuclear antibody, Household dust (lead), and Herpes simplex I/II. There will be an optional assay for water fluoride testing. The number of specimens will vary widely, depending on the assay, with a maximum not exceeding 30 thousand over an 8 year period. Test results must be supplied in machine readable form no later than three weeks after the specimens are received. Offerors must have a well established quality assurance program. Contractor's laboratory must be certified in accordance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988 (CLIA). The estimated release date for this RFP is approximately 15 days after this publication and closing will be approximately 30 days after issue date.
