The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award a nonpersonal service contract to the qualified individual or business capable of providing podiatry services to the inmate population housed at the Federal Detention Center, and the Federal Correctional Institution, Arkona Rd, Milan, MI. Services include but are not limited to: evaluation and treatment of patients with foot problems as referred by the medical staff, minor cases of surgery may be performed if permitted by the clinical director, write reports to the medical staff. Requirements include: doctor of medicine with completion of a residency program in the field of podiatry. Licensed to practice medicine in this field in the state of Michigan. The contract period will include a base year, not to exceed twelve months from date of award, with four, one year option periods for renewal. This is a nonpersonal service, not to exceed 30 hours per week, and not a personnel appointment. The services will be provided as a four hour session, every three months, or 4 visits per year. The anticipated issue date of solicitations is July 16, 1997, with an anticipated receipt of offers due by August 20, 1997.
