Olsen, Contracting Officer, (303) 275-1522 Western Area Power Administration (Western) has an initial requirement for 20 numerical pilot distance line relays, 20 breaker failure relays, 10 transformer differential relays, and 20 overcurrent relays. The solicitation will also include options for 60 additional numerical pilot distance line relays, 40 additional breaker failure relays, 20 additional transformer differential relays, and 40 additional overcurrent relays. The relays will be used to protect Western's Extra High Voltage transmission lines, substations, and switchyards. Items will be delivered FOB Destination to Loveland, Colorado. The Government intends to award one or more firm-fixed price contracts, in accordance with FAR Part 12 -- Acquisition of Commercial Items. It is anticipated that one or more awards will result from this solicitation. The Request for Quotations will be issued o/a July 17, 1997. Quotes will be due o/a August 18, 1997.
