70 -- CONTINUATION/EXTENSION OF NOVELL MASTER LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE SOL 40PTO703606 DUE 071097 POC Joan Hanicak, 703-305-8069, Contract Specialist The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) intends to procure on a sole source basis an extension for maintenance of its installed base of Novell "Intranetware" and "Netware for SAA" under the framework of an existing Master License Agreement which is currently held with General Technology Incorporated of Newport Beach, California. GTI is a small, woman owned business and is a Novell authorized MLA Fulfillment Agent. The installed base at the USPTO requires continuation of the MLA for maintenance of 5,500 existing nodes of Intranetware and 762 nodes of Neware for SAA. This requirement is being met on a sole source basis to ensure timely continuation and extension of the existing license agreement as well as the ability to take advantage of valuable discount offers. The USPTO will not be procuring any additional software licenses. This product is a commercial item but will be issued as a delivery order within the simplified acquisition threshold. See Note 22.
