Command (CBDCOM) intends to negotiate with Computer Sciences
Corporation (CSC) in Falls Church, VA, on a non-competitive basis (per
FAR 6.302-1) for a new cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to obtain support
for the Product Manager, Smoke/Obscurants for the revision and
updating of training products and training services used by U.S. Army
soldiers for operating and maintaining the Generator, Smoke,
Mechanical: Mechanized Smoke Obsucrant, M56. The effort will consist of
revising the text and illustrations in nine training books and
providing training at the fielding sites. CSC is the only contractor
that has the necessary experience and expertise required to revise the
text and illustrations of the M56 training products without
substantial duplication of cost and within the schedule constraints of
