iwanicki@pica.army.mil. Note 22 -- Manufacture a control lot made up of
standard components to consist of at least two (2) trays or 2000 units
of PA520 electric primer. Each lot of a studied parameter will consist
of at least two (2) trays to assure uniformity. Primer times will be
obtained and compared to the control lot. A Final Report of test data
and interpretation will be provided no later than ninety (90) days of
completion of tests. Factors affecting the action time of the PA520
electric primer will be investigated by manufacturing primers with
known defects. These include varying the carbon bridge and the amount
of basic lead styphnate that is placed around the insulator in the
primer. Primer times will be determined for these defects and a report
will detail the results so that future primers will not produce long
action times. (0176) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0014 19970630\A-0014.SOL)
