NASA/JSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for services to consolidate space and mission operations for NASA multi-mission programs. These services include data acquisition, data transmission, data processing and storage, trajectory data processing and navigation analysis, and mission control center tools and services. Specific NASA center-unique services will also be provided by the contractor in accordance with provisions in the Statement of Work. NASA is currently preparing the RFP for this effort. See Numbered Note 26. The anticipated release date of RFP 9-BN3-18-6-2P is on or about October 1, 1996, with an anticipated proposal due date of on or about January 16, 1998. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in ASCII or RTF format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
