NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation, RFQ5-32973-946 on a non-competitive basis for service/maintenance agreement on the metasys utility system at gsfc. This service shall include software subscription service, network control unit/N1, network analysis service and service to the operator work stations as stated on the statement of work. The metasys Utility System is a proprietary product and therefore, supporting services are not available from another source. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Johnson Controls. Interested firms have 15 days from the publication date of this synopsis on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) to submit in writing their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 15 days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
