TYSON, Phone (703)604-6100 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate a delivery order under basic ordering agreement N00019-97-G-0093 on a sole source basis with Northrop Grumman Corporation, Bethpage, New York. The tasking consists of engineering services to update analyses completed under the F-14 Digital Flight Control System (DFCS) Foreign Comparative Test Program to the production configuration and to support the flight test activities at NAWCAD Patuxent River, Maryland. The updates to analyses will include a Failure Modes and Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and a System Safety Hazard Analysis for all F-14 type model aircraft. The period of performance will be for approximately one year from date of contract award. As the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the F-14 aircraft, Northrop Grumman is the only known source that possesses the technical expertise, engineering data, and detailed knowledge of the F-14 aircraft configurations necessary to provide the required services needed to incorporate the DFCS into the F-14 aircraft within the timeframe required.
