The U. S. Department of Energy (DOE), Savannah River Operations Office (SR), near Aiken, SC, intends to enter into a non-competitive contract with the Aviation Department of the City of Augusta, GA. This contract is for facilities, equipment, and personnel to manually or mechanically load and unload cargo at the Bush Field Airport located at Augusta, GA. This action is authorized under Section 303(C)(1) of CICA [41 U.S.C. 253 (C)(1)]. The Aviation Department of the City of Augusta, GA., has been selected because it operates Bush Field Airport and controls all access to the facility and is the only entity permitted to perform these services at the Bush Field Airport and has been performing these services for DOE-SR for the past fifteen years. The contract is for a one-year period with four one-year options. Concerns having the ability to furnish the required services are requested to given written notification (including the telephone number for a point of contract) along with a detailed description of the concern's capabilities and evidence that the concern can obtain a permit from the Aviation Department of the City of Augusta to perform the required services at the Bush Field Airport.
