subject to the evaluation criteria contained in DFARS 252.219.7008-
Notice of Evaluation Preference for Small Disadvantaged Business
Concerns-Constructon Acquisitions- Test Program. The SIC is 1542 --
General Contractors -- Non -residential Buildings, Other than
Industrial Buildings and Warehouses. The size standard is $17M. The
work includes construction of a new 1716 square foot vetinerary
treatment facility and incidential related work. The facility is a
slab-on-grade construction with concrete masonry unit walls and
partitions. The exterior of the facility is an exterior insulation and
finish system. Roof constructuction consists of asphalt shingle
roofing on plywood and gypsum sheeting supported by metal-framed
trusses and rafters. The facility is heated and cooled by a
split-system heat pump with auxiliary electric heat. The facility
includes three exam rooms, a laboratory, pharmacy storage, animal
holding and exterior dog run, veterinarian's office, technician ofice,
receptionist area, waiting area, separate public and saff toilets, and
mechanical, electrical, and telephone/communication support spaces.

by indicating "Plans Room", 1st Floor, Building 212 or request may be
sent via facsimile byusing fax #202-433-0939. Contractors within the
local area are encouraged to pick-up a copy of the solicitation at
Building 212, Washington Navy Yard. The hours of operation of 7:30 a.m.
-- 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. There will be a non-refundable
charge of $43.00 for the documents. Make check payable to U. S.
Treasury Department, C/O EFA Ches. Please note that plans and specs
will be issued on a "first come-first serve" basis. The projected date
for the issuance of plans and specifications is 14 July 1997. The
project date for the opening of bids is 13 August 1997 at 2:00 p.m. The
estimated cost of construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00.
