MARKET SURVEY to obtain commercial information relative to a liquid
oxygen and liquid nitrogen production plant(O2N2 Plant). Naval Sea
Systems Command Detachment PERA (CV) and Fleet and Industrial Supply
Center, Puget Sound are conducting market research ONLY. No award will
be made as a result of this synopsis nor are any solicitation
materials available. General specifications for the O2N2 plant are as
follows; (1) Application: production of liquid oxygen/nitrogen for use
onboard U.S. Navy Aircraft Carriers, (2) Dimensions: not-to-exceed 90
inches high by 147 inches wide(across the front) by 96 inches
deep(front to back), (3) Weight: not-to-exceed 20,000 pounds, (4)
Minimum purity: oxygen= 99.3%, nitrogen= 99.5%, (5) Capacity: minimum
200 pounds of liquid oxygen and nitrogen per hour(normal operating
conditions), (6) Noise: not-to-exceed 80 decibels(continuous), (7) Mean
time between failures: not-less-than 750 hours, (8)Shock: MIL-S-901,
Grade A, Class I. Information requested includes commercial
availability of a unit capable of performing to the above
specifications with or without modifications, the extent of any
required modifications(including customary practices regarding
modifications), identification of possible commercial specifications
capable of substituting for MIL-S-901/MIL-P-24334C(SH) including
additional non-commercial specifications referenced therein and
relevant customary commercial practices in this industry(e.g. terms and
conditions, warranties, financing, etc.). Submissions will be accepted
