59 -- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION FOR ELECTRONIC WARFARE TRAINER POC PMS 430, Sindi Concannon, (703) 602-1782 REQUEST FOR INFORMATION FOR ELECTRONIC WARFARE TRAINER. This is not a notice for solicitation. This is a Request for Information (RFI); neither a draft statement of work nor specifications are available. The U.S. Navy's Combat Systems Training Program Office is responsible for the development and fleet implementation of shipboard training systems in support of the Navy's Tactical Training Strategy (TTS). Central to this effort is the Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT) System which is supported by subsystem discrete, distributed Onboard Trainers (OBT). These systems operate in a Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) message protocol environment providing a highly realistic Synthetic Theater of War (STOW) training environment for U. S. Navy shipboard crews. The Navy has a requirement to enhance the shipboard training of Electronic Warfare operator teams of the following tactical Electronic Warfare systems/equipments: AN/SLQ-32(V); AN/ULQ-16; AN/WLR-1H; AN/WLR-8. In support of this requirement, the Navy is seeking COTS solutions to an Electronic Warfare Onboard Trainer. These solutions must include full BFTT interoperability, must provide for simulation/stimulation of the above listed systems, must provide for operator/team performance measurement, should be IT21 compliant and must also provide for scenario generation and control in support of Electronic Warfare subsystem stand-alone training. Interested parties are requested to provide product brochures, capabilities statements or other descriptive literature which provides sufficient detail to enable a preliminary functional evaluation of the COTS product.
