Institute (AFRRI) intends to procure on a sole source basis from
Kratos Analytical, Annual Preventive Maintenance for a Kratos High
Resolution Mass Spectrometer System. The system consist of a Model
MS25/DS90 Mass Spectrometer and the following accessories: MI047 MS25
GC/LC/MC with EI/CI sources; Field Control: Insertion Lock and and
Probe; Hexapole Lens System, RGUS, Positive and Negative Ion Detection,
Reference Inlet System; Turbo Pumping System and CE5160 Autoconsole
controller. Additional components include NE-287 AS550 Autosampler;
NE-280 Fast Atom Bombardment System; NE-339 SFC Interface; NE-265 Spare
Source EI; NE-HSA HS250 Headspace Autosampler; NE-TSP Spare Themospray
Ion Source; ISCO Pump; DS90 Computer system with DG30 71 MB Hard Disk
Drive; 15 MB Cartridge Tape Module; 512 KB Memory and Floppy Disk
System, a 4205 Color Graphics Terminal; a Printronix Model MVPII
Printer/Plotter and a hewett Packard Model 7475 Plotter. Contract
maintenance period is for one base year and four (4) option years
(total of 5 years). Equipment is located at AFRRI, 8901 Wisconsin Ave.,
Bethesda, MD. The Contracting Officer believes that only one
responsible source can provide this maintenance service due to Kratos'
proprietary rights to the data processing software. However, all
interested contractors may respond with a detailed explanation of their
qualifications and capabilities which will be considered. See Note 22.
