U.S. ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY COMMAND is seeking sources capable of furnishing two URDU-PUNJABI (U-P) linguists for duty in an Area of Operations (AO) beginning on or about October 1999. The period of the contract shall be for a minimum of one year to a maximum of five. The linguists shall be U.S. citizens and shall be capable of holding a security clearance. The linguists shall have a fluency of level 2 Reading and 2 Listening minimum on the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT). Linguists shall have the capability to translate a variety of media (verbal and written) from U-P to English. Linguists shall have a high level of English proficiency. The contractor will provide transportation to and from the AO. Additionally, the contractor shall be prepared to provide billeting, provisions, administrative and logistic support to the linguists. An offeror interested in being considered for this acquisition must demonstrate performance of contracts similar in nature to the above stated requirement, provide contract numbers, a brief synopsis of the statement of work, and a government point of contact.
