Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH has a requirement to STEAM CLEAN CARPETS BY HOT WATER EXTRACTION AND DRY CHEMICAL EXTRACTION BASE WIDE. Paragraph 17V, Solicitation Synopsis is modified as follows to include the SQUARE FOOTAGE for the base and optional years: 17(v). This acquisition has two line items each for the base and optional contract periods: LINE 1 is for HOT WATER EXTRACTION and LINE 2 is for Dry Chemical Extraction. The period of performance is 1 October 1997 -- 30 September 1998. Four one-year options may be awarded. Bids will be provide for each line item for each year, to include price per square footage, for the base and optional periods (totaling five years). All work will be in accordance with the following Performance Work Statement for Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning for Areas A, B, and C dated 1 October 1997. NOTE: This is the Revised Ombudsman Statement "An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government Personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
