renovation of a C-130 aircraft hangar and maintenance shops at the
179th Airlift Wing, Ohio Air National Guard Base, Mansfield Lahm
Airport, Mansfield, Ohio. Services will include demolition of existing
drywall, block and masonry structural systems, and the existing
mechanical, electrical and compressed air systems. Repair work includes
replacing windows and doors, painting, installing new floor coverings,
sealing concrete hangar floor, and installing new mechanical heating,
cooling, ventilation and compressed air systems, replacing lighting in
administrative, shop, and hangar bay areas, and replacing the entire
facility power distribution systems including a new high voltage
transformer and 120/208, 408/227 and 400 cycle electrical distribution
systems. Other electrical repairs include upgrading
telecommunications, fire and security systems utilizing some government
furnished equipment. New construction will include installation of a
metal panel ceiling system and a fall protection system in the hangar
bay, wet and dry pipe and aqueous film forming foam fire suppression
and detection systems. The mechanical systems will consist of a two
pipe hydronic heating and air conditioning system including a new gas
fired hot water boiler and air cooled central chiller. A new
ventilation system including gas fired make up units will also be
installed in the hangar bay area. Utility work includes installing new
natural gas service, and a new potable water service and a new
oil/water separator for the facility. Technical questions should be

estimate for this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The
standard industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1542. The applicable
small business size standard including affiliates is no more than $17
million average annual revenue for the previous three years. This
procurement is full and open competition but will be subject to the SDB
bonding evaluation preference procedures. There will be a seventy-five
($75.00) dollar non-refundable charge for the solicitation package.
Payment must be made in the form of a cashier's check, certified check,
or money order payable to the US Treasury. Solicitation packages will
be available on or about August 10, 1997 with bid opening thirty days
later. Requests for packages must be in writing, no telephone or
facsimile requests will be accepted. Requests for Planholder Lists can
