E-MAIL: Donna Olsen, donna.olsen@dfrc.nasa.gov. NASA/DFRC plans to issue a Request for Offers for Addition to Warehouse Building 4876. The Base Bid Item provides for the construciton of 10,000 square foot addition (new bays #6 thru #9) to the consolidated Warehouse and the construction of Rest Room Facilities, Break/Conference Room and Open Office Area within the existing warehouse. The addition is to be a pre-engineered metal building to match the existing metal building. Included in the project are grading, paving, concrete, steel, carpentry, doors, finishes, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and electrical work. Additive Bid Option No. 1 provides for the construction of 5,000 square feet of additional Warehouse (new bays #10 and #11), including all work inside and outside the new Warehouse to complete these north two bays. Additive Bid Option No. 2 provides for the complete installation of three evaporative cooling units (#EV-4, #EV-5 and #EV-6), including concrete pads, drain plumbing, ductwork, electrical service, and controls. This procurement is being conducted under the NASA MidRange Pilot Test Program approved by the Office of Federal Procurement Policy. The order of magnitude for the procurement is $500k to $1 million and the effort shall be completed within 270 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for the procurement is 1541. The corresponding size standard is 17 million. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about June 27, 1997 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about July 29, 1997. The firm date for receipt of offers will be stated in the RFO. Drawings will be available from the identified point of contact.
