Z -- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE -- REPLACE UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS, FOUR LAKES ANG STA. WA. SOL DAHA45-97-BA001 POC Terry R. Blue, Contracting Officer, 509/247-7222; James Brown, Project Officer Work required in this project includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, materials, tools, and other items needed to decommission and remove underground fuel storage tanks and install a new oil/water seperator with associated piping, hardware, and connections. This will require excavation, storage, testing, and appropriate disposition of potentially contaminated soils and the removal and replacement of sections of concrete and/or asphalt. Potential additional work may include the removal of underground heating oil tanks and the conversion of exiting oil-fired heating systems to propane. All work shall be performed in accordance with published specifications and contract drawings. This procurement will be solicited as Unrestricted with the Evaluation Preference included for Small Disadvantaged Businesses. Estimated cost of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. Time of completion is 180 calandar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. The solicitaion will be available on or about 30 July 1997. The Bid Opening will be on or about 3 Sep 97. These dates will be set in the synopsis that will follow this pre-solicitation notice. A non-refundable check for $25.00 must accompany the written request for the solicitation/drawings and specifications. Make the check out to 141 ARW/FM. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) for this procurement is 1629. The small business size standard is $17 million.
