This is an Invitation For Bid (IFB) for the is for addition/replacement of natural gas systems, including installation of approximately 2900m (9800 l.ft.) of polyethylene gas lines. New gas lines are to be installed in 4 areas around the Base. The longest line to be run shall service the Directed Energy Laboratory Complex. This line shall be looped to allow isolation of trouble spots without interrupting service to other buildings in the comples. Also included is the installation of approximately 5000m (16,000 l.ft.) of existing steel gas mains with new polyethylene gas lines. The construction schedule must be timely; delays in completion and/or downtime service to users will result in the enforcement of high liquidated damages. Estimated performance period shall be 365 calendar days; estimated construction cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Solicitation documents will be available for $30.00 (1/2 size drawings only).
