Vertical Gyro Unit (VGU) Assembly SOL N00421-97-Q-1163 DUE 072897 POC Jennifer Trossbach, Contract Specialist, (301)342-1825, extension 109 The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to procure 14 Vertical Gyro Unit (VGU) Assemblies (Humphrey, Inc., Part Number VG34-0809-1) for the Pioneer Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) Program which currently supports the Navy and Marine Corps by providing logistic support to the fleet users. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis with Humphry, Inc., 9212 Balboa Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1; only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements. Humphey, Inc., is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and owns the proprietary data rights to these VGUs. This will be a firm fixed price contract.
