Harvey (205) 235-7558 (Site Code DAAC01) Furnish and Install Computer Numerically Conrolled (CNC), Horizontal, Turning Centers, chucking type, capable of performing multiple machining operations on the face and periphery of a workpiece in one chucking. The various operations to be performed include contour turning and boring, facing, and threading, with accessories and equipment that will be specified in the solicitation that will be issued. These machine's primary use will be turning for fabrication and return-to-stock items appropriate to the size and capacity of the machines. Two of the turning centers will be Chuck Size -- 12 inches, "X" Travel -- 10 inches, "Z" Travel- 40 inches and Spindle -- 30 HP, 20-2500 RPM; and two will be Chuck Size -- 15 inches, "X" -- Travel 10 inches, "Z" Travel -- 10 inches, "Z" Travel- 40 inches and Spindle -- 30 HP, 20-2500 RPM. Acceptance testing and training will be required. Offerors are required to have a verifiable service and repair capability. The Government intends to perform a Best Value Acquisition. Final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors. The quantity is four each. Installation will be at the Anniston Army Depot, Anniston, AL 36201. Completion time is within 180 calendar days after date of contract award.
