Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation number is DABT11-97-Q-0187 for line
item 0001: Pace MDL# MBT201A Soldering/Desoldering Station, 50 each.
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared
in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented
with additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation: quotes are being requested and a
written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through
Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. Description: Pace MDL# MBT201A
Soldering/Desoldering Station, 50 each, to include the following: AC
Current Type; Screw Collar Mounting Method; Cylindrical Handle Type;
End Item Identification: Model MBT-201A; Maximum Frequency in Hertz:
60.000; Maximum Operating Voltage in Volts: 115.000; Removable Tip;
Spotlight not included; Maximum Wattage Rating in Watts: 112.0; Single
Phase. The requested item shall be capable of handling virtually any
combination of assembly and repair tasks. The unit shall accept
interchangeable handpieces for various tasks, be capable of handling
multilayer, thru-hole assemblies and be capable of handling Surface
Mounted Devices (SMD). The item shall be capable of temperatures in the
range of 450 to 900 degrees Fahrenheit and have automatic temperature
stability to plus or minus 2 degrees. Item shall provide protection
from electrostatic discharge, and have fully selectable temperature
vacuum and pressure controls. This equipment will be used to provide
realistic task training to soldiers in basic and advanced soldering
courses. Station shall be compatible with Pace accessories which the
government has previously purchased. A standard commercial warranty
will be accepted by the government and incorporated in the contract.
FOB Destination: Fort Gordon, Georgia. Provisions and clauses
applicable are: FAR clause 52.212-1, Instructions to
Offerors-Commercial Items. Evaluation criteria for FAR clause 52.212-2,
Evaluation-Commercial Items is price and technical capability of the
equipment compatibility with accessories on hand. Factors are equal in
importance. FAR clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and
Certifications-Commercial Items are to be completed and submitted with
the quotation. FAR clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and
Conditions-Commercial Items, FAR clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and
Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive
Orders-Commercial Items, FAR clause 52.232-33, Electronic Funds
Transfer Payment Methods, DFAR clause 252.212-7000, DFAR clause
252.212-7001. Offeror must insert the remittance address, if different
than the mailing address. The contractor shall submit invoices
prepared in accordance with FAR clause 52.232-25, Prompt Payment in
quadruplicate, to the following billing office: DAO-IN-Fort Gordon,
ATTN: DFAS-IN/EM-TC, building number 33604, Fort Gordon, Georgia
30905-5015. Quotations are due to the Directorate of Contracting,
Contracting Division, Building 2102, Fort Gordon, Georgia 30905-5110 no
later than July 11, 1997 at 2:00 p.m.(EST). Delivery is required no
