The Grand Coulee Power Office, located in Grand Coulee, Washington has a requirement for: furnishing, testing, and installing one new armature winding and stator core (rated 51,500 kilovolt amperes, 1.0 power factor, 13,600 volts) for an existing 220-revolutions per minute, 3-Phase, 60-hertz, vertical shaft pump motor for Unit P2 of the Grand Coulee Pumping/Generating Plant; removing and disposing of the existing winding and stator core; and furnishing associated spare parts. Reclamation is contemplating conducting this requirement as a Commercial Item Buy pursuant to FAR Part 12. We will make a draft specification available on or about July 3, 1997, and we encourage potential offers to request a copy of the draft specification and to make comments or suggestions about the technical specification and/or the proposed contract terms and conditions. Offerors who request copies of the draft specs will automatically receive a copy of the final solicitation. Offerors wishing only a copy of the final solicitation should indicate so in their request.
