is seeking sources to perform electrical wiring in the Thomas Jefferson
Building. The following information is provided for interested parties:
All wires, ties, and interduct will be Plenum rated. All wiring will be
done in accordance with the National Electric Code and all wires will
be labeled with heat shrink type labels or equivalent. All CAT 5 wiring
terminated on 110 blocks will be connected with either C-4 (4-pair) or
C-5 (5-pair) connectors. All wiring not in a flue must be protected by
plenum rated interduct. Example: wire path from Cellar to Police
Communication Center, wire pathe between NW Pavilion closet and Cellar
Security Room, etc. Provide and install the following, test both ends
of the wire for shorts and breaks, vendor is responsible for replacing
any faulty wires. Vendor to provide as built drawings showing all label
numbers, wire paths and terminations. LOC will provide vendor with
drawings. All drawings will be given back to LOC, vendor is not to keep
any wiring information or notes, under penalty of law. Violations will
be to the full extent of the law. Must be bonded and insured. All
interested sources may request on letterhead, by fax (202-707-8611) no
later than July 15, 1997, a statement of work. A walk through is
