65 -- STAINLESS STEEL STERILIZER POC Rita Delgado, (818) 895-9357 The Department of Veterans Affairs, 16111 Plummer Street, Sepulveda, CA, intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Medline Industries, One Medline Pl., Mundelein, IL 90060-4486 to purchase a stainless steel sterilizer. This system meets the government's minimum needs of being stainless steel, filterless -- uses a stainless steel valve plate which eliminates the need for disposable filters, heat activated locking device -- this eliminates the need for disposable tamper evident seals, containers must be 100 percent hygienically secure -- no holes in the top or bottom of the container, container system must be completely compatible with pre-vac/hi-vac steam sterilizers, and no charge manufacture in-service training. This is not a request for proposals, however, all concerns able to meet the above requirements shall demonstrate their capability in writing to this office by July 16, 1997. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation package will be issued. (0178)
