As part of the market research for the NASA ODIN project, the Government is interested in meeting with desktop hardware providers during the week of July 14, 1997. The Government is interested in discussing what approaches to outsourcing leverage the talents of the hardware manufacturer effectively, what type of longterm (if any) arrangements they have entered into with outsource providers, and how they would ensure competitiveness for the hardware portion of any outsouring arrangement. Interested desktop hardawre manufacturers should send an e-mail to ODINHW@pop200.gsfc.nasa.gov. prior to July 7, 1997. A meeting time will be scheduled for any interested desktop hardware manufacturers during the period 7/14-7/18, with the exact date and time being returned via e-mail by July 10, 1997. All meetings will be held in bldg. 8 room 520. It is requested that any atendees bring no more than four representatives. The representatives should be at a level suficient to understand and present corporate strategies as they relate to outsourcing or long-term relationships. No phone calls are being taken regarding this announcement. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation.
