It is being re-published in its entirety and contains a number of changes and clarifications. ANY RESPONSES TO THE ORIGINAL JUNE 24, 1997 SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION NEED TO BE REVISED TO ADDRESS THESE CHANGES. The due date is extended to Thursday, July 10, 1997 at 3:00 pm. This synopsis/solicitation was prepared in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This Request for Quotes (RFQ) constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and NO WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses are applicable unless otherwise noted: FAR part 52.212-1 ((deleting (b)(8) and (e)), and 52.212-4. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 90-46. This is a firm fixed price requirement. The associated Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 3577 and small business standard is 1,000 employees. The U.S. Secret Service has a requirement for the following equipment: (1) 4 meg Memory Chips for Dell 425 S/L, 72 pin, nonparity chips, QTY- 120; (2) Intel Pentium Overdrive Chips 83 Mhz for Dell 433's, QTY- 55; (3) 1 GIG byte ide hard drives, QTY-55; (4) 3COM Fast Etherlink Lan Cards, Part#3C905-TX; QTY-78; (5) MS Office Professional 4.3, Competitive Upgrades version which shall include Documentation, diskettes, and individual licenses, Complete package, QTY -- 56. Delivery and acceptance is required to U.S. Secret Service, 1800 G Street, N.W., Suite 1000, Washington, DC 20223, FOB Destination, two (2) weeks after receipt of order (ARO).
