HARRINGTON (508) 233-4026 (Site Code DAAK60) The US Army Soldier Systems Command, Natick, MA, proposes to acquire from Protech Armored Products of Pittsfield, MA, on a sole source bases under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements a quantity of 85 each, Ballistic Body Shield, Entry 1, Level A and 880 each Ballistic Face Shields, Model #70. Protech Armored Products face shield will quickly attach/detach the faceshield also requires no modification to the PASGT Helmet I.E. drilling, etc. The body shield includes a polycarbonate ballistic viewport that has a four layer, free floating sandwhich lens which will not spall or craze when hit, protects against multiple hits and is curved to provide optimum peripheral vision. Protech is the only known company which can supply these off the shelf commercial items without any modification to meet the ORD requirements. No solicitation Documents exists. See Note 22. (0181)
