Atmospheric Administration has a requirement for a contractor to
provide on-call maintenance for items of equipment which are components
of a Government-owned Unisys 2200/423 system. Maintenance is to be
performed on-site at the National Climatic Data Center, 151 Patton
Avenue, Asheville, NC. The term of the contract will be for a base year
of October 1, 1997 through September 30, 1998 with four (4) additional
one-year options. The contractor shall be required to provide all
necessary maintenance, labor, repair parts, maintenance supplies,
tools, test equipment, transportation, documentation and other related
services as may be required to keep the equipment in good operating
condition. All documentation, diagonostic software and equipment, and
other aids necessary to perform maintenance under the contract shall be
furnished by the contractor. The response time for the on-call
maintenance, within the principal period of maintenance (PPM) shall be
two (2) hours. The equipment tobe maintained includes: U-30 tape
drives; 3670 tape drives, 9-track; Uniservo-36 GCR/PE; Uniservo-40 dual
tape; Model 20 PC; Uniservo 3x control; Uniservo-30 control; BMC dual
storage controller; Cartridge tape controller, 1x4 TR; Cartridge tape
dual access; 8441 mass store; DCP-40; Direct connect module; printer
and control; dual string controller; print bands; block mux channel;
I/O processor (IOP) BMC; BMC channel module; PC console; 2200/400 2x2
processor; 5.0GB UF thin film disk. A firm fixed price contract is
anticipated. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will
