R -- TRASH REMOVAL SERVICES SOL RFQ 144-0103 DUE 081997 POC Amy Karam, Regional Contract Specialist, (717) 547-1641, extension 546 The Federal Correctional Institution Otisville, located in Otisville, New York, has a requirement for trash removal services for the period beginning October 1, 1997 and ending September 30, 1998. The contractor would be required to provide dumpsters, load, transport, and dispose of all solid waste at the Federal Correctional Institution in accordance with all Environmental Protection Agency, state and local regulations. The dumpster sizes and the estimated number of pick-ups are as follows: a roll on/off compactor, minimum of thirty-six (36) cubic yards, with a minimum pick-up of one time per week; a thirty (30) yard open container, with an estimated pick-up of one time per month; and a six (6) yard dump container with a lid, to be emptied approximately three (3) times per week. The contractor will be responsible for obtaining all required permits and licenses related to the trash removal. This requirement is unrestricted, open to both large and small businesses.
