S -- PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE, SERVICE AND TESTING OF VERTICAL TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS SOL N62472-97-B-3175 POC For plans and specifications call, (908) 323-2494 Synopsis: This is a Firm Fixed price and Indefinite Quantity Contract to provide all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment and transportation necessary to maintain and repair vertical transportation systems in accordance with the contract requirements and pertinent safety codes and manufacturer instructions. The work includes a facility inspection program, preventive maintenance, emergency or routine service work, and administration. Performance period is for 12 months with four (4) 12 month options, to be exercised by the Government if found to be in its best interest. The total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any options shall not exceed 60 months. FAR Clause 523-217-8 "Option to Extend Services" and FAC Clause 5252.217-9301 "Option To Extend The Term Of The Contract Services" are included in this acquisition. The contract includes the clause titled "Evaluation of Options" (FAR 52.217-5) Except when it is determined in accordance with FAR 17.206(b) not to be in the Government's best interest, the Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. Evaluation of options will not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s). (End of Provision). The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) for this project is 1796. The related Small Business Size Standard is $7.0 million annual receipts for preceding three fiscal years.
