E-MAIL: Linda Elliott, linda.g.elliott@sas02.usace.army.mil. The renovation of two concrete block buildings to function as Clinical Investigation Lab and Vet Facility. The two buildings will be connected by a new surgical suite and support spaces. The vet facility consists of 2,612 sf renovation of existing space and 2,070 sf new connector building, which totals 4,682 sf. The laboratory facility is 7,838 gsf which includes 6,565 sf renovation of existing building and 1,273 sf of new addition. The total area of the project is approximately 13,720 gsf. The existing buildings are slab-on-grade construction with load-bearing CMU walls and wood trussed framed roof construction. Heating and cooling for the vet facility will be provided by two constant volume single zone 100 percent outside air units with a hot water preheat coil and hot water coils in each of nine zones. A multi-zone air handling unit with a hot and cold deck as well as a preheat coil and seven zones will provide the heating and cooling for the laboratory facility. Automatic temperature controls are electronic type direct digital control (DDC). Estimated cost range of project is from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.
