Little Bighorn Battlefield, NM, soliciting proposals for restoration and/or rehabilitation of the Old Stone House, a historic structure. The building was built in 1894, is a two story stone house; 30 feet square with a full basement. There is a total of 729 square feet of finished space on each floor. Demolition: removal of (2) kitchens, (3) bathrooms, electrical system, heating system, most of all interior lath and plaster walls, concrete basement floor, and removal of all paint on interior woodwork, windows and doors. New construction: installing rigid insulation, gypsum board walls, repainting all interior surfaces, new electrical, phone, computer and hot waters systems; new plumbing system, domestic water and waste water systems; new bathrooms, concrete floor, replacement of historic brick, refinishing of wood floors; construct new rear entry porch with access ramp; refinishing of window and door frames, interior and exterior doors. Must meet the standards set forth in the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Propertities with Guidelines for Preserving, Rehabilitating, Restoring, and Reconstrucing Historic Buildings.
