Wild (913) 239-0478 (Site Code DAKF19) The Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, equipment, materials, and transportation and perform all required work in accordance with the plans and specifications for the replacement of windows and doors in the designated Housing Areas. This includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Demolish existing storm doors, front, rear and utility room exterior wood doors, frames and trim and existing window sashes; 2. Install new steel doors, wood frames, hardware, trim and storm doors in existing openings; 3. Install new aluminum windows and trim in existing openings; 4. Prepare finishes to include new wood trim profiles and paint to match existing; 5. Maintain work area in neat, orderly and sage condition during the course of the wok, and clean up work areas at the end of each work day and upon completion of work. Also, dispose of debris and salvageable items as specified; and, 6. Prepare, maintain and submit as-built drawings as required. The Invitation for Bid will issue on or about 29 Jul 97 and open on or about 28 Aug 97. The proposed contract will be firm fixed price with a base item and possible option items. Estimated cost is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The Standard Industrial Classification is 1751 which places the small business size at $7.0M.
