Mk 24 Pyrotechnic Lead Initiators (PLI) in accordance with statement of work and specification are being procured. The quantity solicited will be 38,500/ea with an option for 25,000/ea. The Mk24 PLI is a class 1.4S non-fragmenting, waterproof initiating device used to initiate pyrotechnic leads of non-electric detonators. The solicitation shall allow for the option of manufacturing of the item in accordance with the baseline configuration depicted in Automated Data List (ADL) 53711-6702805 or to ADL 53711-6702805 with usage of Dextrinated Lead Azide in lieu of DXN-1. The requirements include configuration management in accordance with MIL-STD-973. The solicitation will be structured for delivery with and without first article units. First article quantity of 60/ea will be required to be delivered within 180 days after contract. Production quantity of approximately 10,000/ea will be required to be delivered within 330 days after contract with final delivery required 540 days after contract if first article units are required. If first article units are not required, the first production quantity of 10,000/ea will be required to be delivered within 240 days after contract with final delivery required to be delivered within 360 days.
