This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared
in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a
written solicitation will not be issued. Any amendments to this
solicitation will be placed only in the CBD.(ii) Solicitation No.
5364-7-007 is being issued as Request for Quotation (iii) The
solicitation document applies and incorporates provisions and clauses
in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-38. (iv)This
procurement is open to all responsible sources. The SIC Code is 0119
and the Size Standard is $0.5 million.(v) The items solicited is No 2
Barley Grain OR No 2 Yellow Corn from the 1997 growing season. (vi)
Barley must have a test weight of not less than 50 pounds per bushel
and no more than 14% moisture.Yellow Corn must have a test weight of
not less than 56 pounds per bushel. Contamination of dirt,straw, weeds
and other foreign matter shall be kept to a minimum. USDA,ARS reserves
the right to perform random sampling through the delivery period. (vii)
59 ton of the grain selected shall be delivered to the USDA,ARS, Mud
Lake Feedlot at Mud Lake, Idaho between November 4, 1997 and February
1, 1998. 125 ton of the grain selected shall be delivered to USDA,ARS,
U.S. Sheep Experiment Station, located 7 miles north of Dubois, Idaho,
between September 2, 1997 and April 1, 1998. The contractor will be
required to make several deliveries to each location. Deliveries shall
be a minimum of 30 ton. The contractor may be required to store the
grain selected until the end of the delivery period (i.e. April 1,
1998) at no additional cost to the government. (viii) The following FAR
provisions apply to this solicitation; 52.212-1, Instructions to
Offerors. All offerors are to include with their offer a completed copy
of provision 52.213-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications.
Copies of FAR 52.212-2 and 52-212-3 are available upon request from the
Contracting Officer.) (ix) The folowing FAR clause applies to this
