Gutermuth, 703/602-7600 The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to negotiate a modification n to NAVSEA contract N00024-94-C-6430 with Vitro Corporation, 1601 Research Boulevard, Rockville, Maryland 20850. The proposed acquisition will provide for: (1) an increase in the scope of the current contract to include engineering and technical support services for surface combatant programs under the cognizance of the PEO(SC) and; (2) an increase of 97,995 manhours to the current level of effort being executed under the subject contract. The basic effort will be comprised of 53,181 manhours of engineering and technical services to cover FY 1997 requirements and the remaining 44,814 manhours will be placed on the contract as an option to fulfill anticipated FY 1998 engineering and technical services requirements. This procurement will provide for a full range of engineering and technical services; to include technical, programmatic and management support, ship design and continued development of Major Milestone documentation for the PEO(SC), including PMS 400D and PMS 400R. Under the current contract, Vitro Corporation has successfully demonstrated the detailed knowledge, insight, trained personnel and required resources necessary to support these efforts without an arduous refamiliarization process, an interruption in support services or a need for additional start-up costs.
