S -- CONVERSION OF VEHICLES TO COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS SOL N62472-97-B-3176 POC For plans and specifications call, (908) 323-2494 Synopsis: Provide all labor, materials, transportation, equipment, tools, supervision and management efforts, under an Indefinite Quantity Contract, necessary to convert existing gasoline powered Government vehicles to a duel purpose configuration that uses either Natural Gas or gasoline, with the condition that CNG will be the primary fuel. Work shall be performed at the Contractor's facility. Transportation of vehicles to be converted, to and from the contractor's facility, shall be the responsibility of the contractor. Performance period is for 12 months with one (1) 6 month option, to be exercised by the Government if found to be in its best interest. FAR Clause 523-217-8 "Option to Extend Services" and FAC Clause 5252.217-9301 "Option To Extend The Term Of The Contract Services" are included in this acquisition. The contract includes the clause titled "Evaluation of Options" (FAR 52.217-5) Except when it is determined in accordance with FAR 17.206(b) not to be in the Government's best interest, the Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. Evaluation of options will not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s). (End of Provision). The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) for this project is 5541. The related Small Business Size Standard is $6.5 million annual receipts for preceding three fiscal years.
