on February 20, 1997. The description for this acquisition is corrected
to read as follows: Furnish all labor, material, equipment, supervision
necessary for the reconfiguration, disassembly, reassembly, and
repair/maintenance of systems furniture in the following locations: The
entire counties of Philadelphia, Delaware, Bucks, Montgomery and
Chester in PA, and that portion of the State of Delaware which is North
of Delaware State Highway 41 & Interstate 295. The work involves
reconfiguration, disassembly, reassembly, repair /maintenance services
and replacement parts of the following manufactures of systems
furniture: Hayworth, Herman Miller, Knoll, Steelcase, and Unicor.
Disassembly involves taking down if installed system furniture
workstation, including all components, i.e., panels, work surfaces,
cabinets, raceways, electrical components, etc. unless otherwise
specified, disassembly shall be the minimum required to prepare the
workstations tobe safely moved and/or stored without damage of loss of
components. Disassembly includes the cost of preparing a complete
inventory list. Reassembly involves the assembly of the existing
disassembled systems furniture as well as new furniture components into
the same revised workstation configurations based on the final
installation drawings. Repair services shall consist of the repair
and/or replacement of damaged or broken component parts, panels or
hardware. In order for a bidder to be determined responsible, the
bidder must submit information with the bid which demonstrates that
they are a certified authorized installer of at least one of the
systems furniture manufacturers noted. DEFINITIVE RESPONSIBILITY
CRITERIA: In order for apparent low bidder to be deemed responsible,
certain criteria MUST be met. The bidder must demonstrate competency in
performing comparable systems furniture reconfiguration contracts,
demonstration of acceptable financial resources, personnel staffing,
plant, equipment and supply sources. The bidder or designated
subcontractor engaged in work under this contract shall have
satisfactorily performed twenty-five(25) to fifty(50) reconfiguration
of systems furniture projects during the past three(3) years varying in
size from under fifty(50) workstations to over one thousand(1000)
workstations. The factors in which the award of this contract shall be
based on are: Price related factors, Past performance, and
certification. The SIC Code for this project is 8744. Copies of the
