Z -- REPAIR LIFE SAFETY CODE DEFICIENCIES, BLDG 1529 AND 1530 SOL F11623-97-B0010 POC Dianna Patterson, Contract Specialist, 618 256 1500 x306 The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, services and supervision for repairing selected existing Life Safety Code Deficiencies in Building 1529 and 1530. The principal items of work shall include, but are not limited to the following: Selective demolition as required to perform new work; provide abatement of asbestos and lead-based paint as required; remove and replace existing door hardware to provide positive latching; remove and replace doors which swing into path of egress; replace ICU doors with code compliant smoke doors; provide a fire separation; extend walls and seal (firestop) mechanical rooms from surrounding areas to provide a 1 hour fire separation; remove abandoned message transfer tubing system; provide a sheet metal drip pan system above existing electrical switchgear; install trench drain and sump system; firestop penetrations in fire-rated walls; replace existing access doors to crawl spaces; provide closers for existing doors which must be self closing per code; modify or replace smoke and fire-rated doors which do not comply with code; create smoke compartment; change sprinkler heads. The magnitude of construction is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The proposed contract listed herein is unrestricted. Only written requests will be honored.
