42 -- HARD HATS DUE 071897 POC Kathleen R. Palmer (360)476-2106 This is a sources sought synopsis to identify potential sources for an annual requirement of HARD HATS, that shall meet the following specifications: Guard, skull (hard hat), with replaceable 6-point adjustable suspension that must have slip-on mounting parts that require no tools for installation or removal. Hard hats are to be full adjustable to accommodate a size range of 6 1/2 to 8. Furthermore, hard hats shall have replaceable headbands, crown straps, sweatbands, and mounting for chin-straps. Hard hats must meet ANSI Z89.1-1986 Type 2 Class A helmet standards. The colors required must meet the requirements of Federal Standard 595B dated December 15, 1989. This presolicitaion notice may result in a formal solicitation, although it does not obligate the Government to purchase supplies or services. Interested parties are requested to contact Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound by 3:00 p.m. on 14 Jul 97. Facsimile responses may be received at (360) 476-6479.
