to conduct explosive melt-pour of Composition B explosives into
M821A1/M889A1 81mm Mortar projectiles at a minimum rate of 1,500
projectiles per 10-hour shift. Cababilities are required to develop a
process to melt-pour these projectiles and demonstrate this rate. The
process must produce items with less than 0.04 percent cast defects as
inspected by x-ray and sectioning. Each steel 81mm projectile contains
approximately 2 lbs. of Composition B explosive. This is not a
solicitation notice. This request is for informational literature only
at no cost to the the U.S. Army. Please provide responses by 23 July
