This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a simplified acquisition, 100% small business set-aside, issued as a request for quotation (RFQ), numbered SSA- RFQ-97-3157. The standard industrial classification (SIC) code for this acquisition is 2541. The small business size standard is 500 employees. The Government will make an award resulting from this RFQ to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. To be considered for award under this solicitation, offerors must offer a firm-fixed price with FOB destination pricing.
