solicitation contains approximately 5000 NSNS. The first nsn is
9505-00-293-4208. Specs: Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum Plate
and Sheet, Aluminum & Steel Bar & Rod. Predominant mater: Copper
Alloys, Nickel Copper, Titanium Sheets, Pipe and Tubing Products. Size
and Dimension: Various. Specs/Dwgs are not required. Item is not on a
qualified products list. Yearly Estimated Qty. Offers will be
evaluated with a 10% preference for small disadvantaged business
concerns. Delivery is 3 days after date of delivery order to Conus
destinations. This solicitation contains a 100% option to extend the
term of the contract for 4 additional years. Other Notes: The proposed
acquisition will establish a Prime Vendor arrangement between DISC,
the Selected Vendor, and DISC's Customers. The Prime Vendor is to
provide Bulk Metal Products and related services within the federal
Supply Classes 4710, 9505, 9510, 9515, 9520, 9525, 9535, and 9540 to
DISC's Military customersand DISC's National Aeronautical and Space
Administration customers located in the states comprising the Southeast
Region of the Continental United States ("SE Region"). The initial
implementation will be in the Norfolk, VA area. The contractual vehicle
selected to accomplish this initiative is in a indefinite Quantity
Contract (IQC) providing for just-in-time direct vendor delivery of
aforementioned supplies to the installation. The integrator will review
and analyze demand with DISC and its customers to ensure the supply
availability required by those customers. This initiative will provide
for the vendor to work directly with the DISC customer to ensure
shorter total logistics leadtimes, lower costs and provide better
service toward mission accomplishment and readiness. The request for
proposals will request that prospective Prime Vendor outline, describe,
and explain the methods and manner in which these needs will be
satisfied. Vendors are encouraged to offer any additional services they
are able to provide to supplement the basic bulk metals supply
