62348210@eln.attmail.com. AMENDMENT: This amendment revises a portion
of Part 3., SELECTION CRITERIA, and the submittal due date as follows:
(A) a minimum of 1 in-house surveyor who possesses a current land
surveyor's license with the State of Alaska and has as least 5 years
experience in hydrographic surveying with at least 2 years of direct
technical responsibility for hydrographic surveying of navigable
harbors and channels. Firms that choose to provide any subcontracted
disciplines MUST address each discipline, clearly indicate which shall
be subcontracted, and provide a separate SF254 and SF255 for each
subcontractor necessary. The contractor shall employ, for the purpose
of performing that portion of the contract work in the State of Alaska,
individuals who are residents of the State, and who, in the case of any
craft or trade, possess or would be able to acquire promptly the
necessary skills to perform the contract. (B) specialized experience
and technical competence in: (changes) (1) the AE must have available
in-house staff with the knowledge of modern electronic horizontal
positioning systems including the Global Positioning System (GPS) with
the capability of providing sub-meter accuracy in the dynamic mode;
(2) experienced staff available for operation of a vessel during survey
operations, (3) electronic positioning and depth finding system
utilizing modern surveying software; (4) and at least 1 hydgrographic
surveyor who possesses, or can provide a copy of an application
submitted for intent to possess within 1 year, certification by the
American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ACSM) as an "Inshore
Certified Hydrographic Surveyor." Submittals must be received at the
address indicated above not later than COB (4:00 pm Alaska time) by 28
JULY 1997. Any submittals received after this date and time cannot be
