Items of work include replacement of fan coil units and controls, new hot/chilled water distribution piping, plumbing modifications including sewer mains, alterations to interior partitions, new doors and windows, finishes, kitchenette and bath upgrades, electrical and fire alarm system upgrades, masonry replacement, crawlspace excavation, roof repairs and asbestos/lead-based paint removal/disposal. The contract will be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Type Contract on which individual task orders will be issued. The duration of the contract will initially be a 24-month period, with options for four 12 month option periods. The minimum guaranteed amount for the initial 24-month period is $600,000.00 and the estimated maximum amount for the same period is $30,000,000.00. The plans and specifications have been placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a paper hard copy format. Notification of amendments shall be made through either 3.5" diskette, CD ROM, and/or the Internet. The Government intends to issue this solicitation through the use of CD ROM and the internet. However, the Government reserves the right to use only the internet as notification of any changes to this solicitation. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation. Solicitation to be issued on or about 21 July 1997. Proposals are due on or about 20 August 1997. This an unrestricted solicitation. Offers from all qualified business concerns are solicited.
