The following is a revision to the synopsis for F19650-97-QB008 issued 06/19/97. This is a firm fixed price contract. The project will install new gas engine driven chiller in the central heat plant,Building 1201, at Hanscom AFB. The principal items of work include but are not limited to extension of the existing gas line, rigging heavy equipment, installation of a roll up door, gas chiller, cooling tower, condenser water pump, gas chiller primary pump excavation, site work, paving, concrete work, replacement and installation of piping system, structual support, installation of exhaust system, expansion and connection of the existing Trane Tracer Control system and software, interior and exterior chiller and cooling tower to the existing system, electrical, Factory certification of equipment, testing and balancing special commissioning, the cooling tower shall function during winter and connected to the existing economizer. The following work are options to the project. Commissioning, field and factorytraining, CADD as builts, remote communications, rock and unsuitable soil excavation and backfill, replacement of designated present pipingwithin the plant building, construction of a concrete vault adjacent to the plant building to house new piping and valves, replacing designated buried plastic piping in proximity to the plant with steel piping, installing new chilled water pumps and differencial pressure control system, replacement of present three way control valves with two way control valvesand tempeture control systems in various other buildings, connection of existing Johnson Control system to the existing Trane Tracer system insulation of all new piping, associated wiring and accessories. The total period f performance is 480 calender days. The magnatute of this project is between $1,500,000 and $2,000,000.
