This project will provide for repair or replacement of existing roofing systems, to include removal of lead based paints and asbestos containing materials. Initial contract will be for one year with Option Bid Items for four additional years. This procurement will be conducted under SIC code: 1761. The size standard for this SIC code is: $7,000,000. Large businesses competing for this project must comply with the FAR 52.219-9 clause regarding the requirement for a subcontracting plan on the part of the work it intends to subcontract. The recommended goals for subcontracting are 55.0% for small business, 8.5% for small disadvantaged business, and 3.0% for small business/woman-owned. A firm that submits a plan with lesser goals must submit written rationale to support goals submitted. Estimated cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Plans and specifications for this project must be ordered andthe check received by the CUT OFF DATE of (28/JUL/97) to ensure receipt of bid sets at a cost of $21.00 for specifications (text only); Full/half size drawings and CDROMS are not available. Orders received beyond the CUT OFF DATE will not be honored. Specifications will be mailed out on or about (AUG/05/97). Because a limited number of sets will be reproduced, copies are limited to one set per firm.
