Tilden The U.S. Army Engineer District, New Orleans has a requirement for the furnishing of up to Seven (7) horizontal axial-flow pumps with a nominal capacity of 1050 cfs. Offeror shall have the capacity to furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials to design; manufacture; assemble; factory test; prepare for shipment and storage; provide instructions and supervision for erection by others (under separate contract), field test with auxiliaries and accessories. Pumps are comprised of 1) horizontal axial-flow pumps, 2) Diesel Engines are steel skid mounted, 2 (preferred) or 4 cycle, straight start, naturally aspirated or turbo charged, intercooled, with mechanical injection, compressed air start and remote keel cooling (supplied by others under separate contract) capable of operating on No. 2 diesel fuel, 3) Speed reducers are helical gear, double reduction speed reducer with coupling and shaft required for connection with the specified engines and pumps, 4) Controls are NEMA 12 enclosed cabinet type controls and instrument panelboards mounted adjacent (within 10 feet) to the engine, overall dimensions of 90 inches high by 20 inches deep and width, as a minimum contain all required starters, contacts, relays, etc. for the complete control and monitoring of the engine, vacuum pump, pump, speed reducer, siphon breaker valve, and all auxiliaries. A base year with four option years Indefinite Delivery Requirements type contract is anticipated with a maximum order for seven (7) pumps and a minimum of one (1) with engineering required for design, development and testing as a separate line item on the first delivery order only.
